Using up "bits" today ~ and having fun listening to the kids squealing and playing all the while.

I have to credit my friend, Electric Bluebird for that title. We spent a good 4 hours chatting and sewing these sweet little hairclips and pins for some friends this V-day! Aren't they cute?!

Yo-Yos

Been cleaning around the house today and got the yo-yos back out. I had been working on a quilt for B's "big girl bed" and got burned out. Going to start up again. I wanted an instant gratification project today though so I embellished a couples of B's dresses...

This dress actually had a tear at the bottom where a friend had gotten it stuck in a big wheel (yes, the plastic ride on sort) Anyhoo~ a few yo-yos hid the damage and jazzed it up!

Inspiration Stix

Here are the Inspiration Stix I finished. I thought about dyeing the stix different colors, but thought they look good natural too...hmmm we'll see. You pick one and read what it says. They say things like, "leave a sweet note for someone", "schedule me time", "attitude counts", "surprise someone", "what makes your heart sing?" etc. etc. Now, I just need a good person to give it to...

Crafting!

Tuesday we picked up some inspirational arts & crafts book from the library and headed to pick up a few supplies. After lunch we settled in for a cozy day of creative play at home! Here is B and her first attempt at embroidery.
